When Prometheus stole the secret of fire from the Gods and gave it to mankind, he did so because he wanted mankind to thrive! I came to the United Kingdom as a refugee 40 years ago, with just a suitcase and a half written diary in English (to practice using English!!). . I have made a success of a lot of personal and professional ventures in the past 30 years, and some failiures too. It is an ongoing challenge, to study and learn, and share, help, support and empower others – make their journeys a little easier.
This page charts how that came about through my creative & spiritual growth that spans the time between ages 12 to 55!
Art
Drawing comes naturally to me from a young age – maybe because – apart from going to school, i did lot of reading (myths, comic books ) and drew and painted! No we didn’t have televison for the first 12 yrs of my life. And a bunch of my school friends and I started drawing our own comic books during breaks in class rooms (Sri Lanka). Since then I have moved up to water colours, acrylics, photography & graphic art for use in Book covers, websites, logos, banners and illustrations.
Writing & Publishing
Kitty Love’ and Degenerate Solutions’ were teen romance & psychologica; story collections that I wrote in 1992 & 1994. (The 3rd book, Heart-Deep’ was lost in an old computer & floppy discs and a non-MS format without ever being printed!). I started publishing Gaian Times’ a free online eco-spiritual Magazine, in June 2011 (11 issues published ). In May 2012, I published Eclipse Magic Workbook’, and few more Esoteric / wicca books! My blog `QuantumPhoenix.net’ allows me to explores the Science-Magic interface, with some psychology thrown in.
The Web & The Video
I began building websites in mid 2000’s with no prior expertise. Some of them were getting top traffi c at the time!! (the pre-social media era where 100,000 visitors per year was a staggering feat!). And when Facebook began, I created several pages & groups on Social media for pagan organisations (years ahead of others, for which I was even reprimanded, and some of the then high profile pages dismantled or taken over and myself kicked out- ye that was the end of the World 2012 apocalypse for me- not to mention the online bullying & harrasment I suffered).
Since then I’ve gone pretty much independant, creating and running my own blogs, videos, Webinars and other types of Internet presence & marketing strategies.
2014 saw me getting deeper into DrWho Fan video production. (briefly touched upon in mid 90’s with a Blakes7 style fan video filmed on my Uncle Ravi’s video camera). Learning to write scripts, planning location shoots, working with a handful of friends as actors’, making costumes, props, filming, editing, uploading (YT) so world can see it … that was a life-long dream come true.. I even got a little into music video shoots for a few friends (there is a Game of Throne’ style video witha belly dancer friend who had snakes- instead of Dragons hatch from a giant egg!)
Esoteric Tutor & Events Organiser
I became interested in western paganism & esoterica in 1994-5. In the late 90’s I joined a Wiccan Coven and became initiated Witch & Priest. Now a seasoned Wiccan High Priest, I’ve been facilitating Religious rituals (Pagan) and given numerous workshops & talks in many settings & pagan organisations (Pagan Federation, Witchfest). I’ve also been providing my own training courses. I launched the `e-Witch Apprentice course’ in 2011;
I’ve given many interviews – to the BBC, Channel 4, Radio, National & Local News papers – on the subject matters of Paganism. They still pursure me for interviews once in a while, but owing to some bad experiences, where some twisted my words to suit other religious misconceptions of pagans, I now don’t do media interviews. I have all the platforms I need to get my works out to the people, and for them to find me face to face.
If I have to think what my most impactful contribution to community is – it has to be Hern’s Tribe – an outdoor shamanic ritual group started in 2004; And it’s offspring- London Woodland Witches, started in 2014 and stil going strong with over 3000 members and 50+ rituals and events every year!
And maybe something else will come up in 2026.. who knows!
